Up cycled Artwork
Grow on; visual art ; installation ; Nov 2013; 20 mW X 20m H
“Grow On” composed with banner, used plastic bottle, used glass bottles, used furniture, and woods “Grown on” was one of my community art projects. This art piece was created by my painting partner and I. And I believe everyone can do arts and sometimes it can go beyond what the creators have ever imagined, art has the potential to grow into infinity, people can have infinite imagination and express them through creating art works.
Our unconscious can be powerful and creating something magnificent without being bound by our mind frame
The idea of this art work was to invite various artists from my community aiming to integrate our energy and effort in one art piece. our hard work will shape its final outcome.
First , “Grow On” started from zero, there wasn’t any definite idea of how to create this art work. After that ideas naturally flowed into our minds and we just follow out hearts to create the art form. Just like the art work started as a tiny seed and needs to be watered to grow, then at the certain moment it sprouts and grow strong
My painting partner and I painted on the big benner, the banner was 10 ft tall and 20 ft wide, after we finished the big project, we celebrated our great effort by dancing on it.
